Welcome to St. James AME Church of Memphis. Since 1864, St. James has stood as a beacon of light and hope in the North Memphis community called Greenlaw. Since its inception, our congregation has always stood for justice and rectitude for the people of Memphis. God has used us repeatedly to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and clothe those without clothes. God is not through with us yet. After 157 years in existence, we are yet living out God’s commandment to love through a commitment to serve. It is our desire to continue to serve God by ministering to our local church and the community at large. Pray with us as we continue to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of Jesus Christ.
